We want to know what you think

Invitation to help us improve outcomes for Children and Young People with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)

As a Local Authority (education and social care) and a Clinical Commissioning Group (health) we are committed to improving services for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities.  We want to work with with parent/carers and their children to make these improvements.

To help us do this we are gathering views through an on-line survey.  We have developed 3 sets of questions for:

  • parents and carers
  • children aged 5-11 years, with support if required
  • young people/adults aged 12-25years, with support if required

The survey is asking for views on:

  • what is important for children and young people with SEND and their families.
  • what the education, health and social care needs are for those with SEND aged 0-25 years.

Your ideas will help us to understand what children and young people with SEND need and to plan services to meet their needs and improve their outcomes.

We also want to develop a set of values and principles to guide how we work together with parents/carers and children and young people.

Complete the survey

We are also visiting some schools to talk to parents, children and young people to gather views face to face.
