The Grove Pregnancy Advice Centre

The Grove offers free and confidential services to all, we offer support to: 

• those making decisions in the face of an unexpected pregnancy
• those who struggle to come to terms with an experience of abortion, miscarriage or baby loss
• those who need practical support, for whom a pregnancy and the first year of parenting presents financial difficulties

Unexpected Pregnancy

We offer free pregnancy tests and information on all the options. We are here to provide time and space for clients to explore their feelings and consider their way forward. We do not act as an abortion referral agency and whatever a client’s decision, they receive unconditional care and support.

Post Abortion Support

Some women who have had an abortion struggle with painful emotions and find it difficult to come to terms with their experience. We offer a ten step programme of support that helps the client to express these unresolved feelings.

Miscarriage and Baby Loss

For those struggling after miscarriage or baby loss, we offer emotional support and a safe place for a client to grieve their loss.

Family Support

Where pregnancy or the first year of parenting means financial hardship, we offer free baby clothes and the loan of equipment to bring practical support to families in need.

We accept self referrals as well as referrals from GPs and other professional organisations.
