Affordable Housing Development

Our Housing Development and Enabling Team works with the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) and housing associations to develop new affordable homes each year. In addition, we are also responsible for negotiating new affordable homes through the planning system.

The role of the Housing Development and Enabling team is to promote the provision of new affordable housing schemes throughout the Borough of Luton. Working with registered providers, private developers, and other interested parties, we ensure that the affordable housing required within our planning policies and our housing strategy is delivered.
