ASR Summer Project

The ASR Summer Scheme Project empowers young people by providing sports and educational programmes that promote positive values, healthy habits and education through a series of themed training workshops.
The project will empower young people, as it is young people led. “It is by young for young people.” Young people will lead in the planning and implementation of the project with the help of a Youth Work Co-ordinator. It will give young people an opportunity to take part in activities and outings that they would normally not have access to. It will also allow young people to discuss and tackle issues on crime, community cohesion, drugs, bulling, truancy and issues surrounding anti-social behaviour. Such topics would be tackled with the use of workshops and creative arts such as drama, poetry, painting, photography and filming.
