Luton Astronomical Society
The Luton Astronomical Society (LAS) has over 40 years experience of promoting interest in the Science of Astronomy and general awareness of the night sky.
The club provides a focal point and organise lectures, visits to places of astronomical interest and holds public open evenings. New members welcome.
School party and group visits to the observatory may be booked in advance. The society uses a 19.5 inch and a 12 inch reflecting telescope.
We always welcome new members
The society holds regular monthly meetings at the University of Bedfordshire’s Putteridge Bury campus on the last Thursday of the month, from 7.30pm to 9pm, apart from June and July when meetings are held at Someries School in Wigmore Lane.
