It gives me great pleasure to introduce you to Care Masters Ltd, a semi-independent living for young people from the age of 16 to 18 years and respite care rervices.

Care Masters is a semi-independent living that provides a variety of opportunities and services to support young people ages 16 and above. We offer a homely and caring environment where young people can be the best version of themselves. We provide quality care and service to care leavers and looked after children (LAC) who may require minimal to significant levels of assistance.

Care Masters assist individuals to prepare for adulthood by:

  • encouraging and promoting young people to attend education and employment
  • teaching and training them with life skills including:
    • budgeting
    • tenancy management
    • being safe
    • managing health and wellbeing
    • relationships
  • generally supporting with English as a second language to some of the young people

Care Masters Ltd has been incorporated since December 2013.

We only diversified as healthcare professionals, but our directors have extensive experience and credentials in the field. They now work as professionals in the nursing and health and social care industries. Care Masters directors have a background in nursing and supported living management.

Our ambition and enthusiasm for healthcare prompted us to establish this sector, as we want to use it to fulfil our passion for caring for our clients and make a significant impact on people's lives.

What we offer

At Care Masters our staff support the young people with:

  1. daily independent living such as household upkeep
  2. both practical and general self-motivation
  3. promoting the usage of local resources
  4. 1-1 assistance for some activities
  5. transportation to appointments
  6. assistance with legal matters
  7. assistance in claiming benefits and assistance with transitioning

We're conveniently located among neighbourhood amenities, career opportunities, and recreational opportunities.

Young people may meet new friends, discover a passion, improve social skills, and grow by engaging in group sessions and one to one such as:

  • cooking
  • movies
  • budgeting
  • shopping
  • health and safety
  • maintaining personal hygiene
  • bowling
  • other instructive yet fun activities

Housing – in a community environment, shared housing, or scattered-site flats.

Development of independent living skills - make use of the results of the independent living skills evaluation. We include the assessment results into our service planning (independent living plan) and curriculum at Care Masters, and we give youth the chance to learn independent living skills such.

Care Masters Staff

We ensure that all our employees and keyworkers go through a rigorous screening process that involves extensive background checks before they are appointed. As well as a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service), check to see whether they have any criminal records before being assigned to any of our young people.

This is to ensure that our young people are in capable hands, as we employ a more stringent recruiting procedure and ensure that all our employees adhere to the essential standards and government regulations.

Care Masters practice standards will include:

  • Care Masters has to provide a ‘responsible individual’ within their organisation
  • Care Master is a compliant provider with up to date policies and procedures and health and safety which is provided by QCS
  • We provide a quality assurance auditing framework on which we can report outcomes of care and support monthly
  • Care Masters provides standards of safer recruitment procedures in place, with records available for auditing
  • Staff training and supervision will be evidenced and the number of staff on duty to provide support will be at an appropriate level
  • We will ensure that housing-related matters are addressed and that the relevant health and safety home checks are carried out and recorded
  • We provide appropriate policies and procedures in place to manage the support of young people with a range of complexities and that their risk management strategies are appropriate and evidenced
  • Escalation and de-escalation strategies for concerns or incidents are in place
  • To be registered to the council who will providers accredited in the future

ACCOMMODATIONS

Our property is located primarily in a residential location, near local amenities, recreational opportunities, and employment prospects. We provide a secure, warm, and welcoming atmosphere where young people may get personalised support to live as independently as possible.

Care Masters presently operates one supported living accommodation in Luton, which is a seven-bed unit that provides a family-like atmosphere for young people with emotional, social, and behavioural Challenges.

Our property is confirmed HMO registration and health and safety checks compliance, there would be 24 hours staffing for our young people to be supported should in case of emergencies.

Emergency placement response and respite care

In exceptional cases, we will meet the urgent needs of a young person and the local authority that placed them following a placement breakdown. We know that as they reach critical milestones, young people face a variety of challenging circumstances.

When faced with emergency placements, our manager will ensure safety, quality services and a comprehensive care plan for the young person.

Each care package is tailored to the young person’s needs and requirements. Whether you need 24 hours care or a week living in care visits we are confident that we can care and support the young person needs within Care Masters home.

The respite care we offer:

  • emergency respite care: from the council and charity
