About us
Friends of Bright Eyes provide after school activities, day trips and school holiday playschemes for ages 8 to 18 years.
Our weekly Short Break activity clubs provide an inclusive space for disabled children and youth to have masses of fun. Staff and volunteers care-workers provide support for the children to engage in enjoyable activities and encourage them to push their boundaries. Activities range from the ordinary to the downright bizarre including crafts, drama, story time, sports, cooking, painting, messy play, sensory play and much much more.
Many children form close bonds with staff and show great improvement in self esteem and confidence having formed friendships outside of family. We pride ourselves on helping our children develop their social skills and independence, we believe by befriending them we are supporting them in being all they can be.
Short breaks are one of the services most commonly requested by parents of disabled children. We provide these services at the time indicated by carers as being most vital i.e. afterschool, weekends and holidays.
