Bury Park Jame Masjid

Bury Park Jamie Masjid was established in 1975 and was one of the first masajid in Luton. Originally consisting of one terraced house in Bury Park Road, Luton,  constant the masjid has now grown to a capacity of approximately 2000.

The masjid, in its endeavours to be the focal point of the community, has also established two dedicated separate boys and girls schools. These are in addition but separate from the after-school Arabic and Quran study classes.

With the assistance of various teams of volunteers, patrons, committee members and members of the general public, the masjid constantly strives to provide the local community with numerous social and religious services. These services include funeral and marriage services. For a full list and details of services provided see Services/Facilities section of our website.

A dedicated team of scholars and volunteers arrange regular Islamic events and talks both in English,  Bengali and occasionally other languages. See Events Calendar on our website.

The masjid is led by Imam Mufti Abdul Hannan, a scholar of exceptional knowledge and commitment.

We receive a large number of visitors from schools, colleges, universities and other institutions wishing to find out more about the mosque and the Islamic faith for projects and studies.
