I am a recently qualified Ofsted registered Childminder (2018). I have left Secondary School Teaching, for the foreseeable future to spend more time to help support my family and young sons development. I hope to use my passion for teaching, and my enjoyment of being a mother to provide fun, creative and memorable learning experiences for others.
My setting is my home, I offer a warm, clean, engaging, caring and positive setting where others can grow, develop, feel happy and confident. My setting offers opportunities for play inside and outside within my large back garden and play equipment.
With the children I look after, we are mostly staying at my setting, exploring messy play, music, and dancing. We also play lots-of course. I am building a large collection of toys from educational, small world, role-play And home corner, arts and craft, sensory toys and books.
I know the benefits of being outside, so taking the children on walks and regular trips to the park is also part of our routine.
When it is safe to do so we will return to childminding groups, Salto gymnastics club, story rhyme time at Marsh Farm library and soft play groups.
I am able to offer food/drink/snacks at an extra cost. I am experienced in providing healthy, tasteful and exciting food- being a former food technology teacher. My experience means that can often find safe ways to include children in the making process, enriching their learning and development, as well as giving them life skills.
My location is Marsh Farm/ Bramingham borders, near to Lea Manor High School
I currently drop off and pick up children to Gill Blowers nursery at Leabank and Whitefields Primary Academy.
