A4SOutdoors

A4SOutdoors is run by ProgressAbility.org which is a charitable company limited by guarantee based in Bedford.

In term time we mainly work with young people referred from schools and complementary education centres. The sessions are usually from 9am – 3pm and run by qualified and experienced coaches, either in small groups or 1 to 1 which are customised to the needs of the young person. We have a small fleet of vehicles and are able to collect and drop off the young people.

In the school holidays we run fun skills and techniques sessions.

The activities we run include Angling, Photography, Estate Maintenance, Outdoor Skills, Sports, Cycling, Indoor and Outdoor Cooking, Arts and Crafts. We also offer work experience for young people as well as working on CVs, writing application letters, interview techniques and researching jobs and college courses.

Completing an approachable and achievable qualification helps young people recognise their own strengths, track their progress in learning new skills and boost their self-esteem so they can approach other learning situations in the future with confidence and move on positively in their life. We are an accredited BTEC and Gateway Qualifications Centre.
