Well Springs work includes providing support to meet the emotional and mental well being needs of children, young people and their families. Our aim is to help enhance family life, build stronger inter family relations and teach and assist parents in meeting the 5 Every Child Matters outcomes for their children, which in turn aims to foster better parenting, self management in families and reduce crisis situations or the need for intense statutory interventions. We provide training for parents and children in emotional intelligence, behaviour management and safer caring principles which we hope will reduce the occurrences of abuse and neglect often the entry criteria for statutory interventions.
We aim to increase whole family social and emotional intelligence, increase individual resilience, promote awareness and acceptance of self governing principles and the importance of social etiquette.
All our services are tailor made to meet individual identified or unmet need. We offer work within nurseries, schools, community groups and provide one to one / whole family interventions.
WSCS staff are committed to providing professional, quality, service user focused services which will be offered by a mix of voluntary, trained and professionally qualified individuals. WSCS operates a diarised outreach program which can be accessed by making an appointment.
