Help and support for behaviour and emotional wellbeing

In Luton there are a range of sources of help and support available for children and young people who are experiencing behavioural or emotional difficulties Some sources of support are available to all children, young people and their parents and carers (universal services) but others are only available by a referral and usually following an assessment (targeted services). Specialist services are only for children and young people with very significant needs or who have a special plan, such as an Education, Health and Care Plan. Specialist services are always accessed through a referral process.

This page gives an overview of some of Luton's behaviour and emotional wellbeing services in order to help families understand the support that is available and to assist educational settings and other practitioners in their planning.
